Rachael joined the Icaria team in 2023, bringing over 12 years of experience working within the field of early intervention. Rachael graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Speech Pathology) in 2011 from Charles Sturt University, Albury.

Rachael has a passion for family centered practice, ensuring that therapy is meaningful to a child’s participation within their everyday routines. Rachael has a strong interest helping all children find their voice to communicate and enjoys exploring and creating Alternative and /or Augmentative Communication (AAC) to achieve this.

Rachael has undergone extensive professional development in early language development and is a Hanen certified Speech Language Pathologist. Rachael is able to facilitate a range of Hanen programs, including It Takes Two to Talk, More Than Words, TalkAbility, Learning Language and Loving It, Teacher Talk and ABC and Beyond.

Rachael also has an interest in paediatric feeding disorders, particularly supporting children requiring enteral feeding. Rachael enjoys supporting tube transitions and exploring ways these children can be safely included in family meal times.
