Peter Sirr

Peter established Icaria Health in 2010 and has had great pleasure expanding services over the last few years, and is a passionate physiotherapist, researcher and educator. Peter has completed multiple post-graduate certificates in Aged Care, including a Masters in Gerontology, as well as publishing research. Away from work, Peter enjoys spending time with his wife and four kids and is a passionate about all things sport!

Sophy Sirr

Business Operations Manager

 

Sophy is a Registered Nurse, a trained Counsellor and a Primary School Teacher, but also is the heart and soul of our business. She completes all administrative tasks for our business, including phone contact with our clientele, creating NDIS service agreements, staff scheduling, referrals and appointments. She does all this whilst managing four young children and staying fit and active!

Angela Sandral

Senior Occupational Therapist

Angela is passionate about helping clients achieve their occupational goals. Angela particularly enjoys working with people with complex disabilities, especially those that require specialised wheelchair seating. Angela provides by supervision and mentoring to support the development of our staff whilst also helping direct service delivery. Away from work, Angela is a mother of three, and enjoys good food, wine and staying active!

Brittanie Collins

Occupational Therapist

Brittanie obtained her degree at Charles Sturt University in 2015 and has a passion for working in the disability sector with both Adults and children. She also has extensive experience working within the Mental Health field, helping people to improve their social engagement, outlook and functioning. Brittanie is a country girl at heart and enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves both watching and participating in sports, with tennis being a particular sport of interest.

Kelsey Shaw

Kelsey joined the Icaria team in 2018, having worked over the last 8 years in both disability and Occupational Rehabilitation settings. Kelsey brings a wide range of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to our team! Kelsey grew up in a rural area and moved to Albury ten years ago, hence she is passionate about making sure people in rural and regional centres have access to quality healthcare. Away from work, Kelsey enjoys staying active and healthy, as well as spending time with her family and friends.

Chlorissa obtained her Occupational Therapy Degree at Charles Sturt University in 2015 and enjoys working in aged care, community and the disability sector with both Adults and children. Chlorissa grew up in the local area and enjoys spending time on the family farm. Chlorissa loves healthy cooking, playing netball, going to the gym and socialising with friends.

Sabrina Finch

Occupational Therapist

Sabrina graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2017 and joined the Icaria team in January 2019. Sabrina is originally from a small rural community and spent her first 12 months working with individuals and families living with disabilities in regional and remote areas. Sabrina is a kind and caring clinician passionate about working with individuals to achieve their goals and best possible quality of life. Away from work, Sabrina enjoys being active, playing netball and AFL locally, as well as competing in fundraising running events.

Liesa has recently joined Icaria Health to help provide leadership and guidance to our physiotherapy services. Liesa has 30 years experience working in a variety of settings, with her passions  being neurological rehabilitation and aged care. Liesa has a learn to improve service delivery, highlighted by her obtaining a Master of Gerontology through Charles Sturt University. Liesa is a fun-loving and hard working team member, that always brings a smile to everyone she interacts with!

Georgina Howard

Senior Physiotherapist

Georgie graduated with Honours from Charles Sturt University in 2011. Since graduating Georgie has worked across a number of physiotherapy practice areas with more extensive experience in geriatric rehabilitation. Georgie has a special interest in stroke recovery, Parkinson’s disease and in translating research into clinical practice. Georgie enjoys trail running and gym sessions with her husband.

Grace grew up locally on a farm and is a physiotherapist who is passionate about working in rural communities. She has a strong sense of the importance of belonging to a community and looking after people. She values the role that physiotherapists play in enabling the aged population to remain within their communities. Grace has had experience working predominately in the aged care sector, and has special interests in women’s health, clinical pilates and community health promotion.

Kylie recently joined our team after graduating from Charles Sturt University in 2017. Kylie has a keen interest in aged care and in assisting people to optimise their quality of life. As an Indigenous Australian, Kylie is passionate about improving the health of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, as this is something very close to her heart. Kylie grew up and still lives in Chiltern with her Grandma. Her hobbies include lawn bowls, in which she has represented Victoria for more than 6 years and is aspiring to represent Australia.

Sarah Alexander

Sarah graduated from Charles Sturt University in Albury in 2017. After spending the last 18 months living and working on the central coast, but her strong country roots have brought her home. Having grown up on a farm near Cootamundra, Sarah enjoys the sense of community and friendliness in rural towns. Her interests lie in helping others improve their quality of life through movement. Sarah enjoys working with people of all ages, with a particular interest in working in aged care and the disability space. Outside of work, you will find Sarah in group fitness classes, halfway up a mountain, or chasing sheep around the family farm!

Melissa obtained her Speech Pathology degree in 2015 at Charles Sturt University. Melissa joined Icaria Health in 2018 after working in both the private and public sectors with children and adults. Melissa has a keen interest in swallowing management, disability and alternative and augmentative communication. Melissa is passionate and motivated to help her clients achieve their speech pathology goals. Melissa has just recently moved back to Albury from Wollongong and loves being near the water and spending time with her family and friends.

Sophie graduated with a Bachelor of Speech and Language Pathology from Charles Sturt University in 2017. Sophie joined Icaria Health in 2019 after working in the disability sector with children and adults. Sophie has a keen interest working in regional areas to provide therapy services for people living with communication and swallowing difficulties. Sophie has previous experience and training in swallowing management and using alternative communication, including Key Word Sign. Sophie is passionate about working closely with clients, their families and other support staff in achieving identified goals. Sophie is a local girl, growing up in the Albury region and enjoys playing netball and water skiing on the weekends
