ABOUT

Icaria is a small Greek island known as a blue zone due to the high levels of health and high life expectancy of locals. Around one in three Icarians live into their 90’s and there are much lower rates of musculoskeletal injury, cancer, heart disease, depression and dementia than in the rest of the world.

Icarians remain physically active throughout their lives and into their final days. Put simply, with Icaria, you live better for longer!

At Icaria Health, our Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Dietitians understand the importance of providing a caring environment for all people. We provide individualised therapy to people in the community and in residential care environments. We aim to improve the health and wellbeing of people through a holistic approach to service. Whilst remaining consistent in our delivery of the highest level of service and support, we focus on establishing good relationships with our clients and determining individual care needs.

Our allied health team possess advanced levels of clinical and industry-specific knowledge. We are led by our founder Peter Sirr, who is recognised as a leader in allied health practice, as evidenced by gaining multiple post-graduate tertiary qualifications, working at Charles Sturt University in the Health Sciences Department and gaining additional recognition through the Australian Physiotherapy Association as a Titled Physiotherapist for his clinical expertise.

As a local company, we appreciate the needs of people in rural and regional areas and pride ourselves on our customer service. Icaria Health offers fully mobile allied health therapy services. We offer a private, individualised and flexible service to the general public. Appointments can be made both within standard business hours, as well as out of hours. Our therapists all live in the Albury/Wodonga region, allowing you to benefit from the convenience of seeing our team at home, at work, or at the time and location of your choice. We believe this will increase accessibility of our service and thus improve your health and wellness outcomes.
